Georgetown Park II & Georgetown Market

Mr. Meacham served as SOM's Associate Partner in charge of the design of this project for Western Development.  SOM served as the Design Architect in association with Stinson & Capelli Architects.

 

The project entailed the design of a new section of the Georgetown Park shopping mall, restoration of, and the addition of an indoor/outdoor dining structure to the historic Georgetown Market building. Also included was the design of four levels of below grade parking  beneath the new mall structure with a new western entrance behind the Market building.

 

The project was reviewed and approved by the Old Georgetown Board, The D.C. Historic Review Board and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts.
