The Grand (originally Regent) Hotel - Washington, DC:

 

Mr. Meacham served as Associate/Lead Designer for SOM for this high-end luxury hotel in the West End of Washington, DC.  The design of the 265 key hospitality facility draws inspiration from and invokes the imagery of small luxury hotels in Europe.

 

The building features a separate restaurant and casual dining facilities, meeting rooms and Junior Ballroom as well as fitness center with lap pool and exercise equipment.

 

The exterior of the building is clad in granite, limestone finished architectural precast concrete and oversize grey brick.

 

The project was recognized with a design award by the Washington Chapter of the AIA.
